A little story from Bandung

Bandung is a place of culinary and fashion heaven, its located in west Jawa where we can reach the place in 3 hours from Jakarta. There’s a small village in Bandung called Ujung Berung, Pasir Jati. Something special about this place is the morning open market on every weekend (Pasar Lengkeng). All the sellers came from nowhere in the early morning. Sell any kind of product that worth to be sell. From the toys – until everything for your kitchen needs. Some of them also sell out the service like rent odong-odong for kids. Odong-odong is a small dingdong or mobile dingdong exactly. We can found this in every mall, buy coins and let our kids go inside the train/car and let them ride for some period of time. This is same like odong-odong. The difference is where in the mall the dingdong was operate by the electricity, odong-odong is operated by human being, yes indeed. The driver (odong-odong) will play the music for kids, and start cycling the gear to make the dingdong move, as it quite creative.

Beside the odong-odong, there also have some rent a horse. Yes a horse that can be rent (for kids). Kids will sit on the horse and the owner will bring the kids walk with the horse to some place and return back. I just admire in the big city like this as they still have a traditional market which is very nice to see and cheaper than super market.

The Exotic of Bukit Tabur

The name of this place is the Bukit Tabur, a rocky hill on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur had a hiking track that is quite challenging. With Distances around 30 minutes drive from the city center we can achieve this place easily. Bukit Tabur is located at Taman Melawati area, the locals call it the Bukit Hangus (Mount of Scorched). To reach the place you only need to follow the path to MRR2, straight to Park Melawati (if from the Kuala Lumpur turn right at the intersection of Giant Supermarket). Following the road on the first circle turn left (9 o’clock) and the circle into two fixed straight (12 o’clock direction), until you find the intersection of three then you turn right and follow road until the end as this area called Kampung Klang Gates.

Rugged hill rock crystal have height of about 1000 meters, while the right side hill there is a DAM or a giant dam called the Klang Gate, this area is famous to start a hiking activity. This giant dam has a height of about 50 meters. This hiking trip will take anywhere from 3-4 hours to reach its peak. Forest nature reserve this crest has a spectacular view, you can see the beauty giant DAM on your right if you’ve reached the top of the Bukit Tabur.

If you depart from the hours of 6 am, then you can enjoy the scenery spectacular sunrise from the top Bukit Tabur. Not forgetting also on the back of the hill you can see the city of Kuala Lumpur is clearly following the Petronas Twin Tower. In the opposite direction you can also see Genting Highland in the absence of fog that covered the area in the morning.

The weed from Broga

Not far from Kuala Lumpur, before entering the area of Semenyih or Kajang, there is a very good hill to train the foot of these leg to do some small travel lightweight hiking with free of charge, the name of this place called the Broga Hill. The hill was covered by beautiful alang-alang (weed,grass), and has windy place when reach to the top of the hill to enjoy the fresh air there. Broga hill, or collectively, the Broga Hills is a hilly plain, not far from Kuala Lumpur, this area became interesting place to make lightweight hiking because of its terrain is not too difficult and not too far from town. With an altitude of about 300m or distance 1.27 Km, and also slight simple uphill. We can reach the top of the hill with ease. Broga hill is located on the border between Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, Toward or towards Kajang Semenyih. If you are in Kuala Lumpur, travel time to reach this area only takes up to 30 minutes.
